Everyone loves to have a glowing skin, silky long hair, beautiful white nails, strong teeth and bones. Its simple to get these by including some essential body building elements into our everyday diet plan. Our essential body building elements includes Carbohydrates, Proteins, Vitamins, Minerals, Calcium and Fats.

For more information on calories-burning rate of food, visit: http://nextgenerationashwi.blogspot.in/2013/07/calories-burning-rate-of-various-food.html

1. SKIN:
Our skin needs sufficient VITAMIN B2 and VITAMIN C to make it soft and brighter. Vitamin B2 is present in fresh vegetables, fruits, milk and whole wheat bread. Vitamin C is present in oranges. Like "An Apple a day keeps the doctor away",
"An Orange a day makes your skin glow".

 2. TEETH & BONES:
They need plenty of CALCIUM and VITAMIN D. So have a minimum of two glasses of milk daily. Fish too contains calcium and vitamin D. This helps to build healthy and strong bones and teeth. Avoid unnecessary intake of starch and sugar. This may result in early tooth decay.

3. HAIR:
Our hair is made up of a Protein-based substance called Keratin. Hence to have a strong and silky hair you need have a PROTEIN balanced diet. VITAMIN B is also essential for hair growth. Hence include fish, cheese and eggs in your diet.

4. NAILS
To avoid chipping, cracking and discoloration of our nails, diet rich in PROTEIN, MINERALS AND IODINE are essential. Fish, eggs, cheese, fresh vegetables and fruits. Cereals, bread and meat are food rich in iodine.

5. EYES:
To improve the power of eyesight all we need is food rich in VITAMIN A. The very best of all is carrots. Including cabbage, spinach and other leafy food varieties with fresh fruits and vegetables will help to maintain a healthier eye.

From the above, it is very clear that our food plan must contain the following 5:

                                - Milk

CRISPY FRIED WONTON RECIPE..

A Crispy Wonton makes the best snack in evening or even a good starter during lunch. Wonton is a Chinese dish made using Flour, Egg, Water and Salt to taste. Making the dough for the wanton is easy as it requires very few ingredients. The main skill lies in the Kneading process.
I will explain to you the step by step process in making the Wonton, but first let me tell you the quantity of  ingredients required.

*INGREDIENTS REQUIRED*

FOR THE WONTON DOUGH:
  • Maida or all purpose flour ( 2 cups)
  • 1 Egg
  • Water (1/2 cup)
  • Salt

FOR THE FILLING: (VEG)
  • Shredded Cabbage (1/2 cup)
  • Shredded Carrot (1/2 cup)
  • Shredded Beetroot (1/2 cup)
  • Chopped coriander leaves (1/4 cup)
The vegetables for the filling is entirely your choice and you could leave out or add some of the vegetable of your choice. But I experienced the filling with green Peas, and it turned out bad. So just leave out Peas in your list.If you want a protein filling then,

FILLING (NON- VEG):
  • Shredded chicken, which is already pressure cooked about 1+1/2 cup.
  • Kofta mutton or shredded mutton, already pressure cooked about 1+1/2 cup.
Use either chicken or Mutton filling. Both tastes good. You could even try with prawns if you are a prawn lover.

*PREPARATION PROCESS*

FOR THE WONTON WRAPPERS:

Take a bowl and add the egg, water and salt with the flour and mix well. Knead them together till all the ingredients comes together. Knead them for over five minutes till the dough becomes soft and non-sticky. Then place the dough in a flat surface like a table, apply some dry flour over them and knead the dough further for 2 minutes.

Now leave it aside for 1 hour and start preparing the filling. After chopping all the vegetables or after preparing the protein filling, season them with Salt.

After 1 hour, take the Wonton dough and make them into small balls. Roll these balls flat into small thickness. Now cut them to perfect squares, or if you have a square impression then use it to cut them into small square pieces of sizes in the below figure.

Now apply some dry flour above them by sprinkling over the cut pieces.Take your filling in a tiny spoon and fill it in the center of the wrapper. Now you could use water or the beaten egg as a glue to stick the sides of the wonton wrapper.

NOTE:
Never put too much filling inside the wrappers as it will be difficult to wrap them and even you will end up with the filling coming out of the wrappers and spread throughout the oil

Now your Wontons are ready to take a dip in the oil. Heat 500 to 600 ml oil in pan and when the oil is hot drop in your Wontons and wait till they become "GOLDEN BROWN". That's it, Your CRISPY FRIED WONTONS are ready.

You could use the "SWEET & SOUR SAUSE" or "TOMATO SAUCE" as the dip.

(Try them and please leave your comments on your result. Sure its going to be a lip-smacking snack in your home.)
